Blinds

All made-to-measure blinds and wholesale components supplied by Reynolds Interiors are covered by a 12-month guarantee from the date of delivery. This covers faults in materials or workmanship under normal use and with proper care.

Exclusions include:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Fabric fading or discolouration due to sunlight or moisture
  • Damage due to misuse or improper installation by third parties

Vinyl Shutters

Vinyl shutters from the Hampton range are covered by a 10-year guarantee from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing defects such as warping or discoloration under normal conditions.

Before installation, the customer must inspect all shutters, frames, and components for design, colour, and defects.

This guarantee excludes:

  • Post-production alterations or customisation
  • Improper installation or adjustment by third parties
  • Normal fading or discolouration due to sunlight
  • Use in damp, hot, or variable environments
  • Minor imperfections not visible from 1000mm under standard lighting

Tolerances: Panel warping is acceptable up to 2mm per metre. Size deviations are acceptable within ±1mm. Panels exceeding 1700mm in height should include a mid-rail, and faux wood panels should not exceed 600mm in width unless otherwise agreed at your risk.

Wood Shutters

Wood shutters from the range are covered by a 3-year guarantee from the date of delivery. The guarantee includes protection against defects in material and workmanship under normal use. The customer must inspect the shutters for accuracy in colour and design prior to installation.

This guarantee excludes:

  • Natural wood variations or minor imperfections
  • Fading due to sunlight or discoloration from environmental exposure
  • Use in damp or variable environments
  • Installation or adjustment by third parties
  • Alterations made after production

Panels above recommended size may be ordered at the customer’s own risk. Panels over 1700mm require a mid-rail.

Awnings

Reynolds Interiors supplies awnings covered by a 5-year parts-only guarantee from our supplier. This includes hardware, fabric (excluding valance), motorisation and control systems for:

  • Patio Awnings
  • Louvered Pergolas
  • External Blinds (excluding Jamaican Blind)

Items with a 1-year parts-only guarantee include:

  • Jamaican Blind
  • Lighting
  • Heating
  • Special brackets
  • Spare parts

Exclusions apply to:

  • Valances, gearboxes, gear eyes, winding handles
  • Misuse, accidental damage, incorrect installation or adverse weather
  • A minimum pitch of 14 degrees is required for water runoff
  • Wind sensors are not fail-safe – awnings must be manually retracted in adverse conditions

Claims involve a formal process including form submission, photos, and return of faulty parts.

General Terms and Limitations

  • All claims must be submitted in writing with supporting photos where applicable and are subject to inspection and approval by Reynolds Interiors Ltd.
  • Any issues or faults must be reported within 30 days of discovery.
  • This guarantee does not cover labour or call-out charges unless explicitly agreed in writing.
  • This guarantee does not cover damage resulting from weather events, fire, vandalism, theft, or external causes.
  • Reynolds Interiors Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
  • This guarantee does not affect statutory rights.
  • This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

The following expressions have the following meanings:

  • “Blinds” – bespoke blinds, shutters, soft furnishings and/or items detailed in our Quotation
  • “Consumer” – as defined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • “Contract” – the contract formed upon your acceptance of our Quotation
  • “Customer/You/Your” – the purchaser placing an order
  • “Quotation” – our estimate for providing the Blinds and/or Services
  • “Services” – installation services detailed in the Quotation

References include emails as writing; statutes refer to amended versions; headings do not affect interpretation; singular includes plural; and “persons” includes corporations.

2. How the Contract is Formed

These Terms and Conditions govern all Services and Blinds sold and form the basis of the Contract. A legally binding Contract is created upon your acceptance of our Quotation. Prices may be adjusted if discrepancies arise.

3. Services

We may arrange an appointment to take measurements before providing a Quotation. Additional services or alterations after acceptance may incur charges. We will provide Services with reasonable care. Customer-supplied measurements are manufactured as provided and cannot be returned for incorrect information.

4. Delivery of Blinds

We will provide an estimated delivery date. Delivery is complete when Blinds are received at the address. Ownership transfers upon full payment. We are not responsible for damage caused during fitting by the customer or third parties.

5. Price and Payment

Payment is due upon acceptance of the Quotation unless stated otherwise. Orders are not confirmed until payment is received. Late payments accrue interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.

6. Cancellations

Cancellation after acceptance may incur costs for materials or work already completed. Made-to-measure products cannot be cancelled once production begins.

7. Returning Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Blinds

  • Goods must be satisfactory, fit for purpose, and as described.
  • If incorrectly supplied, we may rectify the issue before a refund is considered.
  • No returns for normal wear, misuse, or customer measurement errors.
  • Returns must be in original condition with proof of purchase within 30 days.
  • Refunds or replacements issued within 14 days of agreement.

8. Our Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss arising from our negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months, excluding normal wear, misuse, environmental damage, or incorrect cleaning. Liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

We retain all intellectual property in designs created and may use them for marketing.

10. Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control.

11. Complaints and Feedback

Complaints must be submitted in writing. We respond within 14 days. Unresolved complaints may be referred to BBSA Mediation.

12. Data Protection

All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

13. Other Important Terms

  • We may transfer obligations to a third party.
  • Customers may not transfer rights without permission.
  • No third party may enforce these Terms.
  • If a clause is unlawful, remaining clauses remain valid.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Photography and Marketing

With permission, we may photograph completed work for marketing. No identifying features will be used without consent.

16. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate information for quotes and orders
  • Provide access at agreed times
  • Prepare installation areas
  • Follow care instructions
  • Report issues promptly

Additional Clause

All quotations provided by Reynolds Interiors Ltd are valid for 31 calendar days from issue. After this time, prices and availability may change without notice.
