We’re a Proud BBSA Member: What This Means for You

Choosing who to trust with work in your home is a personal decision. Whether it’s a made-to-measure blind for a single window or new shutters throughout your home, you want to feel confident that the people you invite in will do a professional job, treat your space with respect and be there if you ever need help afterwards. 

At Reynolds Blinds, trust is everything. Your home matters to you, and how we look after it matters to us. That’s why we’re proud members of the BBSA (British Blind and Shutter Association), the only UK trade association dedicated to the blinds and shutters industry.

What does it mean to be a BBSA member? 

You’ll sometimes see companies using membership logos as decoration, but for us BBSA membership isn’t there for show. It represents how we choose to run our business: properly, responsibly and with care. 

To be a BBSA member, we must meet strict professional, legal and safety requirements. These are checked every year, not just when we first join. Membership isn’t guaranteed and it can be removed, so it keeps standards high. 

That gives you reassurance that:

  • Our work and service levels are independently assessed 
  • There is a clear route for support and mediation if it’s ever needed

We follow the Make It Safe guidelines 

Regulations exist to prevent accidents with cords and chains, especially in homes with children, vulnerable people or pets. Not everyone follows those regulations but we do, every single time.  

BBSA membership means we follow the “Make It Safe” guidelines and only install products and components that meet current standards. We carry out safety checks at every installation and will always advise the safest configuration based on your space and window layout. 

The value of experience 

There’s a really big difference between someone who fits window blinds as a side job and a trained installer who does it full-time with proper support behind them. Small details like secure fixing points, correct brackets for different wall types, level alignment, and discreet cable routing for motorised blinds really matter to ensure a neat finish. 

We invest in training not because it’s expected, but because it improves results. Only installation teams regularly take part in internal technical workshops to share best practice, improve consistency and keep skills sharp.  

The same applies to our surveyors. Correct measuring and product specification make all the difference, especially with large windows, bay frames, bifold doors and tricky recesses. We take time to assess the space properly, talk through options and explain the benefits of each choice. This means that you get recommendations based on experience, not guesswork.
